Description:
Abstract: ORTHO_MCP contains high resolution 12-bit color Ortho-rectified Digital Images (ODIs) collected by Delorme, Inc. and processed by from Space Imaging LLC. These digital images result from ortho-rectification and mosaicking of digital color aerial photographs. Digital file features include high quality ground-level georeferencing, derived from accurate positioning and geometric corrections, and provide a digital photographic map suitable for applications requiring a 1:2400 National Map Accuracy Standard (NMAS). ORTHO_MCP is available at Maine GIS in a seamless mosaic of .TIFF images stored in Oracle 9i for users of ArcSDE 8.x and ArcIMS. The imagery covers a portion of the Maine coastline at low tide. Imagery created by Delorme using an ADS-40 sensor, http://www.lh-systems.com/products/ads40.html. The imagery consists of 3 bands - red, green, and blue. A single band near infra red was also collected.

Use Constraints: Licensing of ORTHO_MCP and the original .tiff images limits use of the imagery to Maine state government, local government, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOOAA). Permitted Use will now include End User permission to serve the Data to Maine GIS constituents via a Web Mapping Service protocol for the purpose of viewing the Data via the Internet. Previous license restrictions apply, mainly DeLorme retains all rights not expressly granted to the End User. These include, but are not limited to the following: the right to copy or reproduce (even if merged with other materials), other than as consistent with the Permitted Uses; the right to sell, license, transfer, or disclose the Data or use it in any manner not expressly authorized by this Agreement; the right to alter or remove any copyright notice or proprietary legend contained in or on the Data; and the right to generate derivative works, except as specifically permitted herein. End User agrees that all metadata and any web pages associated with the Data permitted under this Agreement will contain the following notice: "Includes material licensed from DeLorme Publishing Company, Inc."
